“It’s kind of a glitch in the Matrix.” Tesla’s hyped electric pickup truck Cybertruck postponed until late 2022

During a conversation with Tesla employees, Elon Musk not only outlined the release date for the cheapest electric car Tesla, but also spoke about the hype pickup Cybertruck (we recall that about 1.25 million orders have already been collected for it). Earlier, the company announced that this model was postponed until 2022, but the reality turned out to be even harsher: the car was postponed until the end of 2022.

“It’s kind of a glitch in the Matrix.” Tesla’s hyped electric pickup truck Cybertruck postponed until late 2022

Tesla has no plans to begin production of the Cybertruck until the end of 2022, Musk said. In addition, he noted that there are so many new technologies in this car that it will be very difficult to increase production. Therefore, Musk expects that Cybertruck mass production will begin only by the end of 2023.

At the same time, Musk could not resist not to advertise Cybertruck again, at least in words. “This will be a special project. Like a glitch in the Matrix. As if Neo had a car“- this is what Musk said about the pickup.

The metaphors are, of course, vivid, but the overall situation is alarming. Recently, Tesla has been doing nothing but postponing the production of new models to a later date. So, until 2022, the Semi truck was postponed, Cybertruck was first postponed to 2022, and now, in fact, to 2023. Only in 2023 will the Tesla Roadster 2 and the company’s cheapest electric car appear. And it is not excluded that these terms will also later be shifted.
