“It’s not false”, says Marlene Mattos when announcing that she will work with Jean Wyllys

Former BBB and former federal deputy, Jean Wyllys, will be the newest working partner of Marlene Mattos who, among other names, gained notoriety for managing the singer and presenter Xuxa Meneghel, considered the “Queen of Shorties”.

In a post on the social network Instagram, published on Thursday (19), Marlene announced: “Partnership successfully updated: Rediscovered and hired for the next podcast!”.

Moments later, faced with the negative repercussions from some of her followers, who in several comments disapproved of Jean as a new partner, the businesswoman returned to social media to detail her feelings towards the politician and issued a warning to those dissatisfied.

“I have a thousand reasons to like Jean Willys. He is intelligent, dedicated, hardworking, a friend to his friends: Jean is not fake! I like him and that’s enough for us! I never wanted or hoped to be different, I’m just Marlene, in my own way, with my choices and my white shirts… There are those who believe that I only have one (lol) patience!
I don’t dominate people’s minds, but one thing I want to tell you: I own my life, my perceptions and I never allowed anyone to tell me what to do, and I intend to follow that way! To all these people who are saying barbaric things about Jean, I can say that he didn’t do them any harm, so if someone doesn’t identify with me, there’s really nothing to do here! Be extra careful with judgments based on “I heard about it”, guesses… For more honest opinions, and fewer lice! Judging without knowing is an act of cowardice, so I ask you: jump out of my boat!”

Who is Marlene Mattos?

Marlene Mattos, 73 years old, moved from Maranhão to Rio de Janeiro while she was still a teenager and, in 1983, started working at TV Manchete where she met Xuxa and they became great friends. Marlene is even Sasha’s godmother.

Some time later, Mattos became the presenter’s manager and they went to TV Globo, where from 1987 until 1992, Xuxa had her children’s program “Xou da Xuxa” directed by Marlene herself. In addition to production, the businesswoman also directed other programs on the network such as “Xuxa Park”, “Planeta Xuxa”, “Mais Você” (2001) and “Jovens Tardes” (2002).

In 1993, Mattos was one of those responsible for bringing the star Michael Jackson to Brazil with the “Dangerous Tour”, and has already had assets valued at US$ 20 million (approximately R$ 300 million), according to “Folha de S.Paulo”, in a report from January 2003.

In 2003, after the end of the partnership with Xuxa, Marlene remained out of the spotlight. Even so, the businesswoman opened an agency to manage the careers of other artists and athletes such as former football player Kaká, volleyball players Virna and Leila, former BBB Kléber Bambam, among others.

In addition, she was also creative director at Band, also working in several news outlets: Rádio Globo, Rede TV!, Record, SBT and TV da Gente.
