It’s official! BTS’s Jin Submits Application To Cancel Recruitment Postponement

After some speculation, various media in the country of South Korea have reported that Jin, from BTS, will no longer postpone his enlistment in the army, as he will fulfill the obligations he has as a South Korean citizen.

The famous singer has begun the process to perform his military social service, since it is mandatory for all citizens in the Asian country, since all men between the ages of 18 and 30 who are physically fit must serve about two years in the Army. from South Korea.

Due to the modification of the South Korean Military Service Law in 2020, Bangtan members had been able to delay their recruitment into the army, as the National Assembly was expected to approve a new rule.

This new provision contemplated that international award-winning athletes and musicians, recommended by the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism, could carry out their alternative services in their respective fields instead of active military service.

Apparently, the legislators did not take it to the plenary session, so Jin, who is the oldest in the group, will have to fulfill his obligations as a South Korean citizen and abandon his fellow BTS members.

For now, it transpired that Kim Seokjin, real name of the idolhas submitted a request to the Military Personnel Administration to cancel the postponement of his recruitment, so he would be entering the army at the end of the year or in a maximum of three more months, since that is the approximate time it takes to complete said request.
