Kim appeared in court virtually, but Kanye chose not to appear and was only represented by his attorney, who did not object to the end of the marriage. However, he had three conditions, of which only the first was taken into account and that was: “any right to obtain reimbursement of the money that is supposed to be divided will be preserved in case any of them die”. Instead, the socialite rejected “that Kim would not transfer any assets that she had in trust and if she Kim remarries, she would relinquish marital privilege.”
Previously, Kanye had publicly opposed the separation on several occasions and took to his social networks to implore Kim to reconcile. Recall that Kim filed for divorce last year, after months of media reports of marital conflict and during which the rapper was battling his mental health issues.
The 41-year-old star submitted a written statement to the court last week stating her strong desire to divorce Kanye, whom she had asked to keep their divorce private, something the rapper did not respect. In addition, the socialite assured that her publications on social networks had caused “emotional anguish”.
