Ivete Sangalo and Paralamas do Sucesso are confirmed at Rock in Rio 2024

Ivete Sangalo and Paralamas do Sucessos will also be part of the Rock in Rio 2024 line-up. The news was announced by the festival this Monday (04).

During an event in Rio de Janeiro, the Artistic Vice President of Rock World Zé Ricardo and Ana Deccache, Marketing Director of Rock World, announced the new artists for the festival. In addition to Jão and Gloria Groove, the Bahian singer will lead the electric trio on the festival stage and the Brazilian rock band – classic in previous editions of Rock in Rio – were also confirmed.

Only a few artists have been announced so far and the expectation is that more names will be announced after the Rock in Rio Card sales start, which starts next Thursday (07). Tickets start at R$377.50 (half price) and have no pre-defined date.

During the launch of an LED installation in honor of the festival at Lagoa Rodrigo de Freitas, close to Parque dos Patins in Rio de Janeiro, the names for the festival were announced. According to Roberto Medina, creator of Rock in Rio, the work will allow the population to follow “content that will honor and brighten this city even more” until January 11th. “The city of fun, of charm, will be represented, as will the magic of celebrating the festival’s 40th anniversary, bringing first-hand news to the locals and those who pass by,” he said.

The next edition will celebrate 40 years of Rock in Rio. The festival is scheduled for the 13th, 14th, 15th, 19th, 20th, 21st and 22nd of September 2024.

Other artists confirmed for the event are Ludmilla, Ed Sheeran, Lulu Santos, Ne-Yo, Joss Stone and Imagine Dragons.
