THE Empress Leopoldinense announced, on Friday (18), the return of the singer Iza 34, to the post of battery queen From the association to the Carnival of 2026. The voice of “heavy” and “Faith” will reign in front of Leopoldina’s swing rhythmists, led by Mestre Lolo, after three carnivals.
In a video posted on his Instagram profile, Iza quoted the feeling of belonging that nourishes for the Imperatriz and recalled that he was born and created in the region where the school is located, the Leopoldina area.
“I never stopped carrying this feeling of belonging to me. As much as life end up taking me to other ways, no place compares to our home. And after a physically distant time, it is time to return. Return to Empress Leopoldinense, more mature, experienced and now mother,” said the artist.
She also cited her mother’s friends, teachers and alumni, who also cheer for the school nine-time carnival champion.
“How do I not get emotional seeing my friends from Pius XI, my mother’s alumni, teachers and my life friends also defending this school that we love, the queen of branches?” He said. “It’s an honor and a pleasure to be back in this place, which is also my home.”
