The singer Iza 34, revealed that she will return to voice the character Nala, from the franchise “The Lion King” from Disney. This time, the Brazilian artist will be in “Mufasa: The Lion King” which opens in theaters on December 19th.
In a video produced by Disney and shared on Iza’s social networks, the voice of “My Talisman” confirms her return as the voice of Nala, the character who inspired her daughter’s name. Nine months pregnant, the video captures a special and tender moment, where the singer talks to her baby still in her belly, while a painting inspired by the film is drawn on her skin.
Iza had already lent her voice to the character in the live-action “The Lion King”, released in 2019. This time, the plotenlists the help of Rafiki to tell the legend of Mufasa to the young lion cub Kiara, daughter of Simba and Nala, with Timon and Pumbaa lending their signature comedic talents.
Told through flashbacks, the story presents Mufasa as an orphaned cub, lost and alone until he meets a friendly lion named Taka – the heir to a royal lineage. The chance encounter begins a great journey for an extraordinary group of displaced people in search of their destiny. Their bonds will be tested as they work together to escape a threatening and deadly enemy.
