Jack Black revealed that “Kung Fu Panda 4” is your favorite movie from the franchise starring Po.
“I had so much fun on the first three that I couldn't believe they were asking me to do another one,” Black said in an interview with GamesRadar+. “I'm like, 'Really? This is a dream come true. I thought we were done.' You know, because there was a beginning, middle and end in the first three [filmes].”
According to him, the fourth film in the franchise, which arrived in Brazilian cinemas on May 21, brings a kind of fresh start: “A reboot, in a good way.”
“It has a lot of new elements that are really exciting. And in many ways, it's my favorite of them. I think we've really taken it to another level and I think it's going to impress people,” he said.
“A whole new generation of kids will experience 'Kung Fu Panda' and this world,” added Black.
“Kung Fu Panda” productions are based on the wuxia fiction genre, from ancient China, which mixes fantasy and martial arts.
In the plot of the fourth film, Po (Jack Black) continues his journey to become the Spiritual Leader, needing to choose a new Dragon Warrior. However, a new threat, represented by a villain called Camaleoa (Viola Davis), appears along the way, which could bring back enemies from the past.
