Twitter founder and Square CEO Jack Dorsey will partner with ARK Invest and Paradigm to launch The B Word educational initiative to raise institutional awareness of Bitcoin.
Dorsey recently stated that his mission in life is to spread the word about Bitcoin to as many people as possible. Speaking at the Bitcoin 2021 conference, Dorsey called the Bitcoin White Paper “poetry.” He intends to conduct a training seminar “The B Word” so that different organizations can “get acquainted” with the leading cryptocurrency.
The online conference will take place on July 21st. It will feature Dorsey himself, Ark Investment CEO Catherine Wood, Blockstream co-founder Adam Back, Bitcoin developer John Newbery, former US CIA chief and Beacon Global Strategies senior counsel Michael Morell ), as well as other well-known personalities in cryptocurrency circles.
“I don’t think there is anything more important in my life than bitcoin. My companies and I will do our best to make Bitcoin available to everyone, which is how I am going to spend the rest of my life. If I hadn’t been on Square or Twitter, I would have become a Bitcoin developer. And if Bitcoin needed more help than Square or Twitter, I would leave for Bitcoin. ”
The event was sponsored by payment company Square, investment firms ARK Invest and Paradigm, as well as the cryptocurrency alliance Crypto Council for Innovation. The seminar will be aimed at debunking myths about Bitcoin and simplifying its perception. The speakers will try to explain to institutions what Bitcoin is, how it works, and how organizations can incorporate it into their business processes. In addition, topics such as supporting the developer ecosystem, network security, regulation and ethics of Bitcoin will be discussed.
“The Bitcoin developer community comes first. Given that more and more companies and organizations are becoming participants in the cryptocurrency industry, we want to simultaneously protect and distribute Bitcoin. We will devote this day to “replenishment of knowledge” about this blockchain and cryptocurrency “, – wrote Dorsey on Twitter.
As a reminder, the Twitter founder launched his own node on the Bitcoin network in February. In addition, he does not deny that the social network may add support for the Lightning Network in the future.
