American watch manufacturer Jacob & Co has unveiled a limited edition of high-tech watches dedicated to the cryptocurrency space.
A new line of luxury watches from Jacob & Co is called Astronomia Solar Bitcoin. It is presented at the world premiere of The Geneva Watch Days in Geneva, which will last from August 29 to September 1. The creation of these highly complex watch models by Jacob & Co was inspired by the innovations of the cryptocurrency industry, top managers say.
The watch features a rotating Bitcoin logo, along with a yellow sapphire sun, a 1-carat diamond moon, and a golden planet Earth. It also shows a miniature black rocket with the bitcoin logo, which is trying to get to the moon (“native”). All this symbolizes the history of the emergence of the first cryptocurrency, which used to be an abstract concept, but now has become a reality and part of the financial system.

Despite the long fall of the cryptocurrency market and its high volatility, many luxury watch manufacturers are ready to accept payments in cryptocurrencies. In May, the Swiss company Tag Heuer allowed customers to pay for purchases with bitcoin, ether and other digital assets, and a month later added support for NFT.
The adoption of cryptocurrencies by the branded watch market is due to the fact that the fall of cryptocurrencies has increased the supply of luxury watches in the secondary market. As a result, prices for the most popular models began to decline.
