Japan: At least three injured in knife attack at Tokyo University

In the Tokyo of Japan, three students were injured after attack armed with knife today Saturday (15/1), as broadcast by Japanese media. The students had gathered to give an entrance exam to University.

According to the state network NHK, three people were injured when a student attacked them with a sharp object while they were gathering to take the entrance exam. The alleged perpetrator, a 17-year-old student, was arrested, according to the newspaper Asahi.

About half a million students in Japan give this week the annual entrance exams to Universities.

His police Tokyo declined to give details of the attack, and did not confirm any arrests.

Violent crimes of this type are rare in Japan, but in recent months there has been an increase in knife attacks.
