Japan: Medical resources are running low in several regions

Medical resources are being depleted in various regions of Japan and stronger infection control measures are needed to prevent a new emergency declaration, Japanese Economy Minister Yasutoshi Nishimura said on Wednesday, Reuters reported.

“The next three weeks are important in stopping the spread of COVID-19 infections,” Nishimura said. “The increase in coronavirus infections at home and abroad naturally poses a risk to consumption. There is also a risk that exports and production will decline based on coronavirus conditions abroad.”
