Jd Vance provides condolences for the death of Pope Francis Dias after meeting

United States Vice President Jd Vance gave condolences to Pope Francis during a press conference in Agra, India, on Wednesday (23).

He was asked to be one of the last authorities to see the Pope before the pontiff’s death. On the subject, Vance said, “I thought a lot about it. I mean, it’s pretty crazy, in fact.”

Francisco had a private meeting at his Vatican residence with Vance on Easter Sunday, a day before he died. The meeting lasted a few minutes.

The US Vice President has not confirmed if he will attend the funeral and said he was not sure which US government officials will be at the event.

Vance had previously said that he was happy to meet the Pope, “though he was obviously very sick.”

“I will always remember him for the homily below that he gave in the early days of [pandemia da] COVID. It was really beautiful, ”he said.

Jd Vance’s trip and his wife, Usha, and his three children Agra was part of a four -day visit to India.
