JD Vance says voting for Trump is to avoid World War III

The Republican candidate for vice president of the United States, JD Vance, said that voting for Donald Trump is a vote in favor of “real change”, reducing housing costs and preventing World War III.

“I think we’re sleepwalking into World War III,” Vance said in a panel discussion moderated by Charlie Kirk of Turning Point in High Point, North Carolina. “If we go back to all the really terrible world conflicts, they almost always come from incompetent leadership, not evil leadership, right? These are people who are simply not intelligent.”

Vance went on to say that avoiding another world war is “perhaps the most important reason to get out there and vote.”

“If there is a third world war, it will be the people in this room who will be called upon and called upon to fight it. I don’t want that. I don’t want you to have to wear a uniform – not because you are patriots and volunteers – but because your country forces you to, because Kamala Harris led us into another significant conflict,” Vance said.

While Vance said Trump thinks about the second- and third-order consequences of foreign policy decisions, he said Vice President Kamala Harris does not. Vance also claimed that US resources are being sent to Ukraine at the expense of Taiwan, arguing that China is more likely to move towards invading it.

Vance also addressed the alleged comment by President Joe Biden, who would have called Trump supporters “trash”, and stated that the speech is an effort to silence people who disagree with Kamala’s policies: “It’s telling the American people that he doesn’t is good enough to express concern about Kamala Harris’ policies.”
