Historical figure of the French extreme right, Jean-Marie Le Pen, 95, has been placed “under legal guardianship” for medical reasons, as announced today by the vice-president of the National Alert (RN), Louis Allot. For the former president of the National Front (of the FN, from which the RN emerged) a future protection order had been issued in mid-February, his lawyer, Francois Wagner, explained to AFP, confirming information from the RMC radio station. This civil provision, analogous to guardianship, had been activated at the request of the family by the court of Pitot, in the Paris region, following a medical expertise which established the incapacity of Jean-Marie Le Pen.
