Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck’s divorce comes to an end, without division of assets

Ben Affleck 52, and Jennifer Lopez 55, finalized the terms of their divorce which will be “official” by March this year, according to the website TMZ.

According to the publication, each of the two will keep the assets acquired individually during the marriage. This means that both will keep the profits made from their respective projects during the period they were together. The stars got married in 2022, but decided to separate in 2024.

In Ben’s case, he will continue his participation in the production company Artists Equity, founded in 2022 alongside his friend and fellow actor Matt Damon. The company was responsible for films such as “Os Provocadores” and “The Accountant 2”. During her marriage, Jennifer worked on productions such as “Casamento Armado” and “A Mãe”, in addition to releasing her ninth studio album, “This Is Me… Now”.

The couple also reached an agreement on the mansion valued at US$61 million (approximately R$305 million at current prices), but the details of this division remain confidential.

Procedural documents obtained by TMZ also indicate that Jennifer intends to resume her maiden name, going back to being called Jennifer Lynn Lopez.

The singer filed for divorce on August 20, the date on which the couple would have celebrated their second wedding anniversary. Despite this, a source revealed to the “PageSix” column of the “New York Post” that they both plan to continue to be part of each other’s lives for the sake of their families.

“Ben and Jennifer are still connected and communicate when it comes to their children,” the insider said.

Ben is the father of Violet, 18, Seraphina, 15, and Samuel, 12, from his previous marriage to Jennifer Garner, while Jennifer is the mother of 16-year-old twins Emme and Max, from her relationship with Marc Anthony.
