Jennifer Lopez, 54 canceled the tour, “This Is Me… Live | Greatest hits” , which was scheduled to begin in June. The decision comes amid rumors of a crisis in her marriage with the actor Ben Affleck, 51, and weak ticket sales for the new wave of shows.
Subscribers to The JLo newsletter received an email from Lopez this Friday (31), stating that “Representatives from Live Nation announced today that the Jennifer Lopez US Summer 2024 'THIS IS ME…LIVE' tour has been cancelled.” The announcement stated that “Jennifer is taking time to spend with her children, family and close friends.”
Lopez then sent a personal message to her fans. “I am completely sad and devastated to have let them down. Please know that I wouldn’t do this if I didn’t think it was absolutely necessary,” Lopez wrote. “I promise I will make it up to you and we will all be together again. I love you all. To the next…”. A CNN confirmed the tour's cancellation with a Live Nation representative.
“For those who purchased through Ticketmaster, tickets will be automatically refunded – there is nothing more fans need to do,” the company shared in an email response to CNN , echoing what Lopez shared with her fans. “For those who purchased through third-party resale sites such as SeatGeek, StubHub, VividSeats, etc. – contact your point of purchase for more details.
The news comes amid recent reports that Lopez and her husband Ben Affleck are living separately. CNN has reached out to representatives for both stars for comment. The couple married in July 2022. Lopez's tour was scheduled to kick off on June 26 in Orlando.
