Jennifer Lopez invests in adult-only cruise line

Singer Jennifer Lopez announced on Wednesday (9) that she has decided to invest in the new cruise line aimed at adult passengers from Virgin Voyages, a company owned by billionaire Richard Branson.

She serves as the enterprise’s head of entertainment and lifestyle advisor.

The news was given through a publication on her social media profiles, where she showed a video call between the artist and the investor: “The epic connection that started it all. I’m working with Richard Branson as head of entertainment and lifestyle adviser at Virgin Voyages, and we’re taking the irresistible sailing experiences they offer to the next level.”

Lopez’s cosmetics brand, JLo Beauty, will be available on the ships.

“Jennifer Lopez will bring her talent, her incredible entrepreneurial skills, and her electrifying artistic ideas to our ships,” Virgin Voyages said in a statement.

Virgin Voyages, which entered the market in 2020, has three ships in its fleet: Scarlet Lady, Valiant Lady and Resilient Lady.

“We knew immediately that we wanted Jennifer as a partner to help Virgin Voyages shape the future of high-end ocean travel. She is one of the most talented and hard working people out there. I admire her as an artist, entrepreneur and person,” said Branson.

Richard Branson is a British entrepreneur who has made billions from a variety of ventures, in areas such as aviation, biofuels, clothing, and more recently, aerospace travel. Virgin Galactic, a Virgin group company destined for the area, took its creator on the first commercial flight into space in history, in July 2021.
