Jennifer Lopez was soaking in a bubble bath when Ben Affleck asked her to marry him.
She revealed last week that the two are engaged, but says the way it all went down was very quiet and private.
The “Marry Me” star said in her newsletter that it was a dream come true.
“Have you ever imagined that your biggest dream could come true?” she wrote. “Saturday night, while I was at my favorite place on earth (in the bubble bath), my beautiful love got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. I was totally caught off guard and I just looked into his eyes smiling and crying at the same time, trying to get my head around the fact that after 20 years this was happening again, I was literally speechless and he said, ‘Is that a yes? ‘ I said YES, of course it is a YES.”
She continued: “I was smiling so widely and tears were streaming down my face, feeling so incredibly happy and complete. It wasn’t anything fancy, but it was the most romantic thing I could imagine… Saturday night at home, two people promising to always be there for each other.”
She called herself and Affleck “Two very lucky people. Who got a second chance at true love.”
Lopez also spoke about her green diamond engagement ring, writing, “Green has always been my lucky color and now, for sure, it always will be.”
The couple reunited after splitting in 2004, much to the delight of Bennifer shippers everywhere.
