The actor Jeremy Renner (“Hawkeye” and “The Bourne Legacy”) is in “critical but stable” condition following an accident in Nevada. In a final statement, publicist Samantha Mast declared that the actor’s family is in the hospital and that he is receiving “excellent care”.
The Renner representative confirmed that “Jeremy is in a critical but stable condition, with injuries after suffering an accident while shoveling snow this Monday (2)”.
Although the location of the accident has not been confirmed, Renner has owned a home in Washoe County, Nevada, in the United States, for several years, according to the Reno Gazette Journal.
This area, in the north of the state, received heavy snowfall due to a storm on New Year’s Eve.
Deputies responded to a “traumatic injury” in the Mount Rose Highway area of Reno, according to a press release from the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office.
The sheriff’s office did not provide details about the extent of Renner’s injuries.
Deputies coordinated with the Truckee Meadows Fire Protection District and REMSA Health to arrange for Renner’s medical transport via an emergency flight to a local area hospital, according to the statement.
The Washoe County Sheriff’s Office Major Accident Investigation Team is investigating the circumstances.
Jeremy Renner is an Avenger in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, appears in “Avengers” and recently won his own series on Disney+, “The Hawkeye Archer”. He was the only person involved in the accident, according to authorities.
