Jeremy Renner’s friends fear his snowplow accident will leave him paralyzed for life

Jeremy Renner’s horrific injury in Nevada has friends and family fearing the actor will be paralyzed for life.

“Jeremy has already had two major surgeries. But there are serious doubts that he will ever be able to walk properly again – or at all,” a source said. “Those close to him fear the damage was significant enough to prevent him from moving as he used to, unless he loses his leg entirely.”

The Hawkeye hero, 52, had helped come to the rescue of a family member stranded near his $2 million Lake Tahoe ranch on New Year’s Day. But after Renner got off the snowmobile, the vehicle (which weighs 6 tons) started rolling and when the actor tried to get back into the driver’s seat, he ran over.

A neighbor used a tourniquet to try to stop the terrible bleeding in his leg, and the two-time Oscar nominee was airlifted to a hospital in Reno, where he was also treated for a chest injury.

Florida resident Dr. Gabe Mirkin said the star may need to have surgical plates implanted in his legs to aid healing, but also speculated that Renner could be forced to undergo an amputation.

The doctor, who is not treating the actor, observed: “A chest trauma of that magnitude means that he could have cracked his ribs and therefore there could also be damage to the heart.”

Renner shared a photo of himself in the hospital bed a few days ago. In the shot, the actor was attached to pipes. “Thank you all for your kind words. Now I am unable to write. But I send a kiss to everyone», he had written.\
