Jesse Powell donated $1 million in cryptocurrency to Donald Trump

The co-founder of the Kraken crypto exchange, Jesse Powell, donated $1 million in crypto assets to Donald Trump for his election campaign. At the same time, he accused some American politicians of “attacking” the cryptocurrency sector.

“Despite overwhelming efforts by bipartisan Congress to establish clear rules, the Biden administration has stood by and allowed a campaign of arbitrary executive branch regulation. This approach reduces US competitiveness as other jurisdictions introduce clear industry regulations,” Powell said.

In his post, the Kraken co-founder mentioned Senator Elizabeth Warren and US Securities and Exchange Commission Chairman Gary Gensler. Earlier, Ripple Labs CEO Brad Garlinghouse said that the latter would likely be the reason for Biden’s defeat in the election.

In addition to Powell, Ark Invest CEO Cathie Wood also came out in support of Trump. She plans to vote for the politician in the elections.

Trump previously received a donation of $2 million in bitcoins from the founders of the Gemini exchange. However, the amount exceeded the permissible limits, after which it was returned.
