Jessie J performs in Los Angeles after revealing she suffered a miscarriage

The singer Jessie J did a show in The Angels this Wednesday (24), a few hours after revealing on his Instagram that he has just suffered a miscarriage.

Price Tag’s artist opened the post by saying “Yesterday morning I was laughing with a friend, saying ‘Seriously, how am I going to do my show in LA tomorrow night without telling the audience that I’m pregnant?'”. She continues: “Yesterday afternoon, I was wondering how I was going to do the show without breaking down… After taking my third exam and finding my heartbeat gone,” said the singer, who had not publicly announced her pregnancy.

In the publication, Jessie J shared with the audience her feelings of sadness, shock and loneliness, but said she believed in her strength and ability to get well. She also revealed that the pregnancy came from a decision to be solo mother.

“I decided to have a child by myself. Because it’s everything I ever wanted and life is short. Getting pregnant was a miracle in itself and an experience I will never forget, and one that I know I will have again.”

Despite the situation, the artist chose to keep the show she had scheduled in Los Angeles on Wednesday night. “What I do know is that I want to sing tonight. Not because I’m avoiding the grief process, but because I know singing tonight will help me.”

The singer recalled how music was, since the beginning of her career, a source of joy for her. “I started singing when I was young to feel joy, to fill my soul and for a self-love therapy, that feeling has never changed and I need to process it my way,” he explained.

In the second image of Jessie J’s Instagram post, she shared the following quote from Australian poet Seyda Noir: “Sometimes love won’t be enough to make it work, and that’s okay. It doesn’t mean you failed.”

An hour later, the singer thanked fans for their support and affectionate messages: “Your immense and instantaneous outpouring of love is felt, received and appreciated more than I can measure. That’s what got me out of bed this morning. Thank you”, she published.

Video recorded by fans shows the singer performing at The Hotel Cafe, in Los Angeles, on Wednesday night (24).
