An airport in Houston, United States, temporarily suspended all flights this Tuesday (24) after two private jets collided on its runway, authorities said.
The incident occurred around 3:30 p.m. local time when a twin-engine jet departed “without permission” from the runway at William P. Hobby Airport and collided with another twin-engine jet that was landing, according to the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration ( FAA, its acronym in English).

No injuries were reported in the collision and it is unclear how many people were on board the aircraft, the FAA said.
The plane that took off was identified as a Hawker H25B, a corporate aircraft model, while the flight that arrived was a business class Cessna C510 jet, according to the FAA.
The two private jets “clipped their wings while moving across the airfield,” Hobby Airport said in a post on X, formerly known as Twitter.
The airport remained at a standstill as crews worked to remove the debris, which was completely removed shortly after 7pm local time, when flight operations were allowed again.
Hobby Airport is located 7 miles from downtown Houston.
The incident is under investigation by the Federal Aviation Administration and the U.S. National Transportation Safety Board.
