Rare images, because it is difficult for the Bhutan royals to pose all together. The last time it happened was during their first royal tour as a five-person group, in Mongolia, when for the first time they were shown in non-traditional clothes together with their children. The king and queen have three children: the Crown Prince Jigme Namgyel7 years old, the Prince Jigme Ugyen3, and the little one of the house, Sonam Yangden, who will turn 1 on September 9th. The baby girl’s first name, revealed three months after her birth, means “longevity and fortune”, the second “prosperity and well-being”.

The older princes actively participated in the inauguration of the park, as other photos shared via social media from the official pages of the Palace show. The children were the protagonists of the equivalent of a ribbon cutting, pulling the two ends of a bow that closed the access to the area, an urban redevelopment project particularly desired by the king.

An environmentalist sovereign, Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck who like Charles III is certain that the planet is an inheritance handed down to us by our ancestors, which must be a legacy for the new generations, as he publicly underlined on the occasion of the last Earth Day, last June. A strong commitment also in the small Asian country. Defined as the “happiest in the world” because its inhabitants do not fear death, Bhutan is also a very green land, where it is easy to live in connection with nature. The secret of happiness, certainly, also lies in this.
