It's not long before Hollywood's most acclaimed stars come together at 96th Academy Awards Ceremony , which takes place this Sunday (10). The awards ceremony will be held at Dolby Theatre, in Los Angeles (USA) from 8pm Brasilia time.
Jimmy Kimmel, will be the main host of the night for the fourth time and appeared in a video released by the Academy, this Sunday (10). In the images, he is in “Barbieland”, where Mattel dolls live, and is questioned by Strange Barbie.
“Jimmy Kimmel, what will it be? Will you return to your normal Oscar night, sitting alone on the couch, watching Tik Tok and eating churros? Or, will you accept the incredible responsibility of hosting the Oscars while shouldering all the intended expectations, pressures and scrutiny? The choice is yours”, asks the doll, played by Kate McKinnon.
“The churros, for sure,” replies the presenter. After he makes the wrong choice, Weird Barbie says, “Why do all the pretty donkeys come to me for advice?”
The scene makes reference to the film, when Barbie played by Margot Robbie will come to your home for advice after it appears to be defective.
The presenter was already at “Barbieland” when the Academy released a teaser for the awards show. On this occasion, Jimmy uses Strange Barbie to get to the Dolby Theater.
Along the way, they revisit some great nominees, such as the actors from “Poor Creatures”, “Oppenheimer” and “Maestro”. America Ferrera and Ryan Gosling, stars of “Barbie” also appear in the images.
The awards ceremony will be broadcast live on TNT and the Max channel (formerly HBO Max), at 8pm. Meanwhile, E! Entertainment covers the red carpet from 5pm.
