A jiu-jitsu coach was arrested last Saturday (23), suspected of sexual exploitation, rape of a vulnerable person and pedophilia, during a sporting event in Balneário Camboriú, a tourist city in Santa Catarina.
According to the state’s Civil Police, the Captures Department of the State Directorate of Criminal Investigations served the temporary arrest warrant – issued by the Amazonas State Court – against the coach.
At the time of his arrest, the man was participating in the event as a coach for children and teenagers who were competing there.
According to the police, the arrest was made after a joint investigation between police teams from Santa Catarina and Amazonas, which identified the location where the suspect was located.
THE CNN seeks contact with the coach’s defense and the space remains open for demonstrations.
