JMC signed for aid to producers of clementine, seed and industrial potatoes

The JMC was signed by the Minister of Rural Development and Food, Mr. G. Georgantas, for the granting of state aid to the producers of raspberries and industrial potatoes, as well as to the producers of mandarins of the Clementini variety, while it is expected to be signed by the Deputy Minister of Finance. .

Beneficiaries of State aid under the Decision are producers active in the primary production sector throughout the country, who, inter alia, meet the following eligibility conditions:

– For the producers of seeded and industrial Potatoes who have insured their production in ELGA for the year 2020.

– For the producers of mandarins of the Clementini variety who have submitted a Single Payment Declaration (IACS) for the year 2020 and have at least one acre of exploitation. Young trees up to four years old are excluded from the aid.

Amplification amount

– For producers of seed potatoes 205 euros per hectare and for industrial potatoes 83.92 euros per hectare.

– For the producers of mandarins of the Clementini variety, 70 euros per acre of cultivation.

For the year 2022 the amount of funding amounts to the amount of 4,763,650 Euros. From this amount, a maximum of 1,398,256 euros will be allocated for the support of commercial and industrial potatoes, and 3,365,460 euros for the producers of mandarins of the Clementini variety.

For the payment of the aid, OPEKEPE will open a special platform where the beneficiaries will submit applications.

Aid to shellfish farmers was signed by G. Georgantas

The granting of de minimis aid to the shellfish sector in the framework of the implementation of Regulation (EU) no. 717/2014 of the Commission (EU L190 / 45, 28.06.2014) “, signed the Minister of Rural Development and Food Mr. George Georgantas, while the decision is expected to be co-signed by the Deputy Minister of Finance Mr. Th. Skylakakis.

Beneficiaries of state aid in this context are the shellfish farmers (natural or legal persons) of the whole Territory who submitted a declaration to the Integrated Fisheries Monitoring System (OSPA) for the year 2020 and had productive activity in the same year.

The amount of the de minimis aid amount is set at EUR 672 per hectare of leased area for shellfish farming.

Applications to the OSPA for the year 2020 are accepted as long as they were submitted by 31/01/2022.

The public expenditure resulting from the implementation of the decision is 2,754,126 euros.

For the payment of the aid, OPEKEPE will open a special platform where the beneficiaries will submit applications.
