João Carlos Martins: Da Vinci sent the first Curriculum Vitae in history

CNN Culture Specialist João Carlos Martins spoke about the painter, sculptor and inventor Leonardo da Vinci. “When the conflict between Milan and Venice broke out, Da Vinci sent the first Curriculum Vitae in history,” said Martins.

In his resume, the Italian says that in the event of a naval war, “he knows effective instruments of defense and offense and knows how to make ships that can withstand any type of attack”, completes the maestro.

“In times of peace, I am able to satisfy any request in the field of architecture, in public and private buildings and in the design of water pipeline works”, said Martins, citing Da Vinci’s curriculum.

The expert points out that only in the last item of his curriculum does Da Vinci claim to be able to make sculptures in marble, bronze and terracotta. “The genius of the plastic artist walked side by side with humility”, concludes Martins.
