The new film by the Renowed Director of Terror Ari Aster (“Mysommar”, “hereditary”), “Eddington”, will be starring the actors Joaquin Phoenix (“Joker”) and Pedro Pascal (“The Last of Us”) . The weight cast still has names of Emma Stone, Luke Grimes and Austin Butler. The distribution is from studio A24.
The feature plot revolves around an abandoned couple in a small town of New Mexico. Although initially welcome, the city takes a sinister course at night falls. Joaquin Phoenix plays the sheriff of the city, marked by ambitious dreams.
The first images of the production were released by A24 on Thursday (10). In them, Pedro Pascal’s character appears having what appears to be a clash with Joaquin Phoenix’s sheriff. See below.
“Eddington” will compete for the Golden Palma Award at this year’s Cannes Film Festival. The cinema event takes place May 13th to 24th .
In all, 19 films compete for the maximum award, including the Brazilian “The Secret Agent”, Starring Wagner Moura and directed by Kleber Mendonça Filho (‘Baturau ”).
