A survey by the professional social network LinkedIn, sent at the request of CNN Brasil, shows that the global market is heating up, including the Brazilian one.
For the first time since April, Brazil (6.7%) and the United Arab Emirates (8%) had positive data – there is an increase in the number of applications for jobs from May onwards.
Globally, nearly 16 million members chose to add an “Open to Work” frame to their profile as of July 2022. That’s a 14.28% increase compared to April this year when there were 14 million. The increase is even higher compared to April 2021: 128.57%.
Considering data from Europe, Middle East and Latin America: Applications for vacancies fell in June, as well as in May, but this trend may be decreasing – informs the platform. This means that the global market is gradually heating up: there are more applicants interested in job openings.
In June 2022, competition for jobs (measured as per job applications) averaged -56% below June 2021 in EMEAL (Europe, Middle East, Latin America) markets, up from -68% in May.
Despite most regions experiencing reduced labor market competition in June, the trend is slowing with the June monthly average (MoM) at -3%, compared to -17.4% in May.
