“I’ve been hearing for three months that China is going to deliver major weapons to Russia”Biden said at a joint press conference with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. “They haven’t yet, that doesn’t mean they won’t, but they haven’t yet”he added.

“I don’t take China lightly, I don’t take Russia lightly”he continued, however, estimating that the information that spoke of the rapprochement between Moscow and Beijing was probably “magnified”.

“Washington does not seek a conflict with Iran”

On the sidelines of his visit to Canada, Joe Biden assured from Ottawa that Washington is not seeking a conflict with Iran, a day after he ordered airstrikes in Syria that killed pro-Iranian fighters.

The raid in Syria was ordered in retaliation for the death of one American and wounding of five soldiers in a drone strike.

“Let there be no doubt: the US does not seek conflict with Iran but is prepared to act forcefully to protect its people”Biden said at a joint press conference with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.
