The President of the USA Joe Biden will make a public statement on January 6, Anniversary of the deadly attack on the Capitol by supporters of former President Donald Trump, the White House announced on Wednesday.
Details have not been finalized, a White House spokeswoman said. However, “it is safe to say that the American people will hear from him that day,” she said Jane Psaki to inform journalists.
Four people lost their lives that day, and a Capitol police officer succumbed the next day to the injuries he suffered while defending Congress. Hundreds of police officers were injured during the long-running attack by Trump supporters and four police officers have since committed suicide, according to Reuters.
Former Republican President Trump is accused of that instigated the riots, which took place on the way to the Capitol after they heard him speak outside the White House. Trump told a crowd of supporters he would never recognize the outcome of the Nov. 3 election and called on them to “fight.”
It is noted that more than 700 people have been arrested in connection with the attack on the Capitol. Special Committee Committee research the attack, including Trump’s actions and his efforts to overturn the election results.
Trump said yesterday, Tuesday, that he would give a press conference on the same day, January 6., noting how it will refer to the above events. He once again spoke of “fraudulent elections”, in the context of his own statement.
