Yes, the question sounds a bit far-fetched but it was very close to coming true, as Joe Jonas confirmed in an interview for the podcast Just for Variety that he auditioned for the role, but luck was not on his side.
During the interview, Joe recalled the time he auditioned to play Peter Parker in the Sony movie, The incredible Spiderman. Although this was his dream role, she couldn’t get it.
At the moment you are destroyed or you feel defeated. But you realize that this other person was excellent. I remember years ago he was ready for Spider-Man and he was so so excited and it was the year that Andrew Garfield got it. Obviously, he was the correct one. Although Joe felt bad about not getting the part, he acknowledged that Andrew Garfield, who got the lead in the film, did an excellent job.
Joe mentioned that after his rejection he decided to follow his path in music and during the covid-19 pandemic, his wife Sophie Turner helped him improve his acting skills, something he was deeply grateful for.
