The special envoy of the American President for Climate will pay a visit to Athens, John Kerry. The American official will be in Athens on August 28-29, in order to hold meetings with government officials.
According to the announcement of the State Department, the discussions will focus on efforts to reduce carbon emissions in maritime transport, but also the dynamics that are developing around the International Conference “Our Ocean Conference”, which Greece will host.
John Kerry’s trip will continue in Bali, Indonesia, where he will participate in the G20 Ministerial Summit on Climate and Environment.
He will then visit Vietnam to meet with government officials, civil society representatives and business leaders, with the aim of building consensus around key actions to address the climate crisis and accelerate the transition to a clean energy economy.
