Johnny Depp Earns $3.6 Million on His First Art Collection; caused a furor

Actor, producer and musician, Johnny Depp just added another skill to his resume: “multi-million selling artist.” You read that right, the 59-year-old star launched her first art collection pop, which turned out to be a complete success, as the works were sold out “almost immediately”.

Plus, they were worth a staggering $3.6 million! Through the Castle Fine Art gallery, in London, England, the interpreter of Pirates of the Caribbean released 780 impressions which, according to dailymail, each limited edition work sold for $3,973, while a set of four works sold for $15,040.

The pieces are part of the collection Friends & Heroes by Depp, featuring four portraits of Bob Dylan, Elizabeth Taylor, Al Pacino and Keith Richards. All created in a “bold graphic style” and accentuated by gestural markings outlining sections of the portrait.

According to the gallery, the compilation represents four people that the actor “has known well and who have inspired him as a person”:

Each image is an intimate reflection of her character in Johnny’s eyes. A portrait of how they have revealed themselves to him.
