Johnson: British Jews must not be subjected to shameful racism

The British Prime Minister Boris Johnson said today that there was no room for anti-Semitism in society and that British Jews should not suffer “shameful racism”
“There is no room for anti-Semitism in our society,” Johnson said via Twitter. “In view of (the celebration of) Savoy, I am on the side of the Jews of Britain who must not suffer the shameful racism we have seen happening today.”

Johnson did not specify what incident he was referring to.

A video posted on the Internet earlier today shows a procession of cars carrying Palestinian flags moving in north London transmitting anti-Semitic messages over a loudspeaker.

Reuters could not independently verify the video or when it was shot.

The British Metropolitan Police said: “We know that a video appears to show anti-Semitic language heard from a motorcade in the St. John Wood area this afternoon.”

“Officers are conducting urgent investigations to find those responsible. That kind of behavior will not be tolerated. “
