Johnson for Putin: His actions in Ukraine are considered war crimes

The British Prime Minister Boris Johnson said on Wednesday (2/3) that he believes the actions of the Russian president Vladimir Putin in Ukraine have already been designated as war crime, broadcasts Reuters.

The International Criminal Court (ICC) prosecutor’s office announced Monday that it will seek the court’s approval to begin investigation into alleged war crimes in Ukraine.

“What we have already seen from Vladimir Putin’s regime is that it has dropped ammunition on innocent civilians.” in my view it is already fully qualified as a war crime “, Johnson told parliament.

Heavy fighting and Russian bombing since the invasion began last week have killed dozens of people in Ukraine and displaced thousands of refugees in neighboring countries.

The heaviest bombing hit Kharkiv, a city of 1.5 million people in the east whose center has been turned into a bombed-out desert with ruined buildings and rubble.

On Tuesday, Johnson said the bombing of Kharkov by Russian forces was a atrocity reminiscent of the attacks in Sarajevo in the 1990s.
