British Prime Minister Boris Johnson said on Monday that remains hopeful that relations between the UK and Russia will improvewhile adding that US President Joe Biden will deliver some “tough messages” to Russian President Vladimir Putin this week.
“I always hope that things will improve with Russia, but … I’m afraid so far, it has been quite disappointing from a UK point of view“.
“I know the president Biden will bring some pretty tough messages to President Putin over the course of the next few days. “
His comments are delivered upon his arrival at a meeting of the NATO military alliance.
Prime Minister Johnson is expected to make a statement on the virus restrictions later today at 17:00 GMT.
