The Prime Minister of the United Kingdom Boris Johnson today described as “realistic” the possibility that the war in Ukraine will last until the end of 2023 due to Russia’s determination to continue its “horrible” attack.
Asked at a news conference in New Delhi about such a timetable cited by Western sources and the possible scenario of a Russian victory, the conservative leader replied: “It is a realistic possibility, yes, of course.”
Russian President Vladimir Putin “has a huge army, (…) made a catastrophic mistake and the only option he now has is to continue to use his horrific artillery-based method to try to crush the Ukrainians he added at the end of his two-day visit to India aimed at strengthening their bilateral cooperation.
According to Boris Johnson, who paid tribute to the Ukrainian resistance, a “realistic” negotiation aimed at ending the conflict “does not seem possible at the moment.”
