The first tripartite meeting at the level of Defense Ministers of the three countries, being the beginning of defense cooperation, states the joint announcement for the 1st Tripartite Meeting between the Ministers of Defense of Cyprus, Greece and Jordan that took place today in Nicosia.

The ministers noted that the tripartite defense cooperation is based on the principles of the Joint Declaration of the Third Tripartite Summit of the Hellenic Republic-Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan-Republic of Cyprus of 28 July 2021.
The ministers agreed to set up a Joint Committee to prepare and arrange future meetings and to sign a tripartite co-operation program, which will include military exercises and training for their Air Force, Navy and Special Forces.
Ministers reiterated their commitment to further strengthening international and regional efforts to combat terrorism and radicalization.
The ministers agreed to hold the next Tripartite Meeting of Defense Ministers in Jordan in 2022.
