“Joker: Delirium for Two” had its first screening at the Venice Film Festival last week and divided critics who were present at the session.
Some expert opinions define the film as “surprisingly monotonous”, in addition to bringing “a series of disappointing musical numbers”. There is, however, praise for Lady Gaga, who makes herself “an engaging and dynamic presence”, as well as a definition of “impressively strange”.
In the plot, Arthur Fleck is institutionalized in Arkham awaiting trial for his crimes as the Joker. While struggling with his dual identity, Arthur not only finds true love, but also finds the music that has always been inside him.
