The film “Joker: Delirium for Two” entered the Max catalog a streaming service from Warner Bros. Discovery, this Friday (13), two months after debuting in theaters.
In the plot, Arthur Fleck, the Joker, is on trial for the crimes committed in the first film. Admitted to the Elizabeth Arkham Asylum for the Criminally Insane, in Gotham, he discovers the meaning of love when he meets Harley Quinn. Together they embark on a journey of music and passion.
Directed by Todd Phillips who also directed the first film, the production stars Oscar winners Joaquin Phoenix and Lady Gaga . Names like Zazie Beetz (“Atlanta”), Steve Coogan (“Philomena”), Ken Leung (“Industry”), Catherine Keener (“Capote”), Harry Lawtey (“The Pale Blue Eye”) and Brendan Gleeson (“The Banshees of Inisherin”) also make up the cast.
Considered a box office fiasco, the sequel to “Joker” (2019) grossed US$201.1 million (about R$ 1.1 billion ) around the world – to date. The first film earned more than US$1 billion (around R$5.7 billion) at the box office.
