‘Joker’ director shares screenplay image for sequel

For Joker (2019) fans, good news: the sequel to the feature film should be in the works, according to a post by director Todd Phillips on Instagram, on Tuesday night (7).

In the first image, the script of the film gives a spoiler of what the title of the new one should be movie. “Joker: Folie à Deux”, or “Joker: Madness for two”, in a free translation, signed by Phillips and Scott Silver.

In the following photo, actor Joaquin Phoenix, who played the protagonist in the first part of the plot, appears reading, what appears to be, the script.

In the first film, the viewer is introduced to the story of the man behind the clown who became Batman’s main enemy. The plot, wrapped mainly in elements of madness, took in a worldwide box office of more than 1 billion dollars.

For now, no release date or synopsis of the new film has been announced.
