JOLED today announced the start of shipping OLEDIO displays. According to the manufacturer, this is the first time that large-scale production of OLED displays has been mastered using the printing method. The OLEDIO brand will produce displays ranging from 10 to 32 inches diagonal, designed for computer monitors, medical devices, automotive electronics, and more.
For the manufacture of these displays, JOLED uses the patented Triprint technology, a feature of which is the formation of light-emitting layers by printing. This method is better suited for the production of medium to large panels than the current vapor deposition method. JOLED has been developing OLED display printing technology for a long time. In 2017, it started production on a pilot line, and in 2019, it launched the first batch production line with trial batches. JOLED is now moving from trial production to mass production. The company does not disclose the names of its customers.
