Jonathan Majors, ex-Marvel, has convictions for assault and harassment upheld

The former actor of Marvel , Jonathan Majors had his convictions for assault and harassment upheld after the judge responsible for the case rejected the appeal.

The charges are the result of a domestic dispute involving Majors and his ex-girlfriend, Grace Jabbari.

Through its lawyers in a statement to CNN Majors denied the allegations against him.

In December, a New York jury found Majors guilty of one count of 3rd degree assault and one non-criminal count of harassment. He was acquitted of another charge of assault and aggravated harassment.

Majors' defense filed an appeal in February asking Judge Michael Gaffey to overturn the ruling and dismiss the charges. In a subsequent filing, prosecutors asked the judge to deny the request made by Marjos' defense.

The judge denied the defense's request last Monday (01), according to a copy of the decision obtained by CNN this Wednesday (03).

A CNN reached out to Majors' representatives and is awaiting their response.
