Afropunk Brasil announced, this Thursday (14), that the singer Jorja Smith 27, will be present at the next edition of the festival, which will take place on November 8th and 9th, 2025, in Salvador. The Brit was the first attraction confirmed by the organization.
The “Blue Lights” and “Be Honest” vocal show at Afropunk will take place on Saturday (November 8, 2025) and there is no confirmed information about the sale of the 2025 edition. This will be the fifth Brazilian edition of the festival centered on black musical culture. The brand arrived in Brazil in 2021 and, since then, it has been held annually at the Exhibition Park in the capital of Bahia.
“The British diva arrives opening the work of our line-up with an energy that transcends and transforms. Jorja will bring an unforgettable show in the capital of Bahia”, says the Afropunk Brasil announcement.
In this year’s edition, which took place last weekend, names like Erikah Badu, Jorge Aragão and Léo Santana. Lianne La Havas, Liniker, Duquesa, Ebony, Fat Family and Planet Hemp were also there.

Jorja Smith in Rock the Mountain
Jorja Smith was also confirmed as an attraction for the next edition of the Rock The Mountain festival, which will take place again in Petrópolis, in the mountainous region of Rio de Janeiro. The dates chosen for the event were the weekend of October 31st and November 1st and 2nd, 2025; the shows will take place again the following weekend.
Ney Matogrosso, Liniker and Baiana System were already confirmed by the Rock The Mountain organization. Tickets for the two weekends of the festival are now on sale on Sympla’s official website and range from R$336 (half-solidarity) to R$668 (full).
The 2024 edition of the Rio festival took place last weekend and featured names such as Erykah Baduy, Zeca Pagodinho, Djonga, Anitta and O Grande Encontro (Alceu Valença, Elba Ramalho and Geraldo Azevedo).
