The marriage proposal on the pitch for athletes is nothing new. There has been more than one between the Olympics and the World Cup, it happened in baseball, basketball and football. Obviously also in football, but that of Josh Cavallo it is special.
The Australian footballer, one of the few and the first active professionals to have come out, asked his partner to marry him on the pitch of his club, Adelaide United. The photos are on Cavallo's Instagram profile who thanked the team for giving him a safe space in football.
