Josh McDermitt, from “The Walking Dead”, joins the cast of the “Suits” spin-off

Josh McDermitt known for his work on “The Walking Dead” was cast to star in the spin-off of “Suits” beside Stephen Amell .

The plot will follow Ted Black, a former federal prosecutor from New York, who reinvented himself representing the most powerful clients in Los Angeles at his Black Lane Law firm. The firm is at a point of crisis and, to survive, he must take over a role he played with contempt throughout his career.

Described as energetic, powerful and self-centered, McDermitt will play Stuart Lane, co-founder of Black Lane Law. Amell will play Ted Black.

A pilot for the series was recently ordered by NBC. Production is scheduled to begin at the end of March in Vancouver, Canada.

The pilot order came a few days after a report showed that “Suits” was the most watched series on streaming in 2023. The legal drama aired on the USA Network from 2011 to 2019 and has nine seasons. In Brazil, the series is available on Netflix.

this year's Golden Globes, Patrick J. Adams which brings Mike Ross to life in “Suits” stated that he would return as the character for the spin-off.
