Journalist attack on Georgia Meloni: “Her father is a drug trafficker”

In her father’s past Georgia Meloni, winner of the Italian parliamentary elections, the well-known Italian-Israeli journalist Rula Zebreal is mentioned in a post on social media.

“During the election campaign, Giorgia Meloni, the new Italian prime minister, wanted to reproduce a video with images of rape, in which it is said that asylum seekers are criminals who want to replace white Christians. Ironically, Meloni’s father is a drug dealer/criminal who was convicted and served time in prison“, Zebreal wrote according to the APE-MPE correspondent.

The Italian politician immediately responded to the post and underlined:

“It is the sensitivity of the Italian press, which refers to my father’s problems, but hides a key element in its blatant headlines. Everyone knows my father left when I was one year old. Everyone knows that I decided not to see him again, ever again, when I was eleven years old. Everyone knows I never had any more contact with him until his death. But, it seems, it doesn’t matter, since the “allegedly kind” can pass as a pave over the life of the “monster”. Obviously, something else that does not apply to me is that the sins of the parents should not discipline the children. PS Ms. Zebreal, I hope you can explain to the judge, when and where I made the statement you posted».

A large part of the Italian media reported on this whole matter, emphasizing, in the great majority of cases, that the intervention of Rula Zebreal, was a “hit below the belt”. In her post journalistfinally, Anna Paratore, mother of Georgia Meloni, also responded, who underlined via the Internet:

“After I endured the worst abuse against my daughter, lies and all kinds of falsifications of reality, defamations for which, if you are right-wing, in Italy you are not justified even in the courtrooms, I am tired. My relationship with the father of my children is not a subject of public discussion. And I think the story of a man who has been dead for many years is not a matter of public debate either.. The last time my daughters and I met him was a distant afternoon in 1988, in the Villa Borghese in Rome, when he asked, after an absence of five years, to see his daughters again. It was a useless and frivolous meeting, with two little girls who barely remembered him and him who told them to call him Franco, because he thought that “Daddy” was making him old.”
